The author, Mrs. Lelah Jackson Edson,. as a young girl reached the "Fourth Corner" before the coming of the railroad, when steamer and canoe were the standard methods of transport and roads were almost non-existent. At that time many of the pioneers of the '50s were yet on the stage as well as later arrivals, and numerous ones became acquainteds of the author. Very early she became interested in local history and began recording and classifying first hand data she collected DJ is worn. Text clean. Cloth. Near Fine/Very Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
