This catalogue documents the Fowler Architectural Collection, one of the largest collections of rare books on architecture in the world. The collection, which includes over 3,000 volumes on architecture and related fields, was assembled by the Baltimore architect and collector Lawrence Hall Fowler (1887-1971). The bibliographic descriptions of the books in this catalogue are supplemented by detailed notes on the provenance and significance of individual items, and by essays on Fowler and the history of the collection. The catalogue is fully indexed and includes an extensive bibliography.
