Paris: Ambrosio Firmin Didot. Good with no dust jacket. 1881-1883. First Edition Thus. Hardcover. Xxvii, 575. Lxxxvi, 438, 4 plates; v, 578, [i] pp. Quartos in what appears to be original binding 3/4 brown pebbled leather with gilt titles in the spine compartments, marbled brown hard boards. Some normal rubbing to the boards, corner leather mostly gone but corners still fairly well intact, spine tips a bit rubbed. Interior marbled end papers have nice old book plate of classicist Robert E. Dengler. Some library stamps, vol. I has some red pen ticks at the front, vol. III has small small foxing/spots here and there, front and back blanks a bit crispy with a few edge chips, paper is somewhat browned, but otherwise clean and unmarked. A handsome set with a nice provenance. Texts are in Greek with facing Latin, notes and everything else in Latin. Very heavy for international shipping. Vol. I - Poeseos Philosophicae; II - Pythagoreos, Sophistas, Cynicos et Chalcidii in Priorem Timaei Platonici Partem Commentarios Continens; III - Platonicos et Peripateticos Continens. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall .
