The catalogue of a major retrospective which was overshadowed by the suicide of George Dyer who features in so many of the paintings in the exhibition.Presentation copy from Francis Bacon, inscribed on the inside front cover: ''To Jamie [sic] with all best wishes, Francis Bacon''. The recipient is the aristocratic Spanish interior designer Jaime Parladé whose wife Janetta was a painter and a friend of Bacon.One or two of the folding plates are creased at the fore-edge. Very good.
