Actor's memoirs; Wilson was a comedian who started as a song-and-dance man in the minstrel shows in the 1870s and found fame in light opera in New York in the 1880s, '90s, and early 1900s. Also a bibliophile, Wilson was a friend of Eugene Field & James Whitcomb Riley and tells of a meeting late in Walt Whitman's life. Hardcover, full navy cloth, red titling & decoration. Light wear, edges rubbed; hinges a bit loose; bookseller's label inside rear cover; jacket price-clipped, edgeworn & chipped with minor staining; spine spotted. Text clean; xi, [blank], 463 pages; index, b/w plates.. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/Fair. 6¼" by 8½".
