New York: Hurst & Co, 1915. Hardcover. Very Good/good. 288 p.; 19 cm. Green cloth with blue spine and cover titles, and red and blue illustrations on spine and front cover. Illustrated dust jacket (in mylar cover) with advertisements for girls and boys series on the flaps. No date of publication. Back flap has advertisement for Boy Scouts at the Panama-Pacific Exposition, which exposition occurred in 1915. The list of the Rex Kingdon Series only includes the first three titles, published in 1914 and 1915; the last two titles were published in 1916 and 1917. Harry Castlemon was the pseudonym used by Charles Austin Fosdick (1842-1915), American author of books for boys. Frank in the Woods was first published in 1865. Book is in Very Good Condition: spine ends are lightly rubbed; lacking front free endpaper; pages are clean and tight. Dust jacket is in Good Condition: loss at ends of spine; chipping at edges; closed 2-cm. tear from upper edge of front section; closed 3.5-cm. tear from lower edge of back section; small tear in center of spine; some separation along front flap fold; rubbed but clean and bright.
