About Fine and an exceptional Association Copy. Specially bound black hard-grained morocco (6" x 9-1/4") with photographic frontispiece portrait of FDR. ELEANOR ROOSEVELT'S COPY of the official Congressional Memorial Service for FDR with both Roosevelt's bookplate and the small circular estate label, this numbered A50, on the verso of the front endpaper and in gilt lettering on the front cover: "Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt." The text of Winant's address is followed by the program for FDR's funeral service held on 14 April 1945 and remarks made in the House and Senate in remembrance of the late president. The final section is devoted to messages of condolence from chiefs of foreign states. Listed in the Hammer Galleries 1964 Exhibition and Sale of Books from the Library of Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. This book is listed in the section titled "Books of Exceptional Interest. Exhibited But Not For Sale."
