This book is the first biography of the British landscape artist Frederick Richard Lee (1798-1879) and includes a detailed appraisal of his art work including Lee's joint works with Sir Edwin Landseer and Thomas Sidney Cooper. As well as art, Lee had a great interest in fishing, shooting and photoraphy. He also took part in adventurous yacht voyages around the world, which are reported in detail in the book..
