Black lettering on front and spine. Chip to top of front cover. Fading to cloth, especially on back cover. Endpaper has small label from a news company. Previous owner's name and date of 1903 on front free endpaper. Five stories about different peoples, written in different dialects of Georgia, including African American and mountain. Part of local color movement. 236 pp plus 8 pages of books published by Charles Scribners Sons.
