Good/None as Issued. spine darkened, tips and corners bumped, previous owner's name on presentation slip from the KU Library, Lawrence tipped to front endpaper, map endpapers; "Your Kansas State Historical Society" pamphlet laid-in. Published for the centennial of Lawrence, Kansas, founded in 1854. Recounts the violent history, up to and including the savage 1863 terror raid by Quantrill during the Civil War, one of several such attacks over the first years of the settlement. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Hard Cover. Books and other items ship promptly with a tracking number and (generally over $15.00) jacket protectors if applicable. Clean recycled packing material will be used when possible.
