Dark brown morocco, gilt single fillet around sides, gilt lettering on spine, top edge gilt, other edges uncut (by Jenny Hodgskin). Paris, (Ducros, Lefèvre et Colas, 1922, for) René Kiefer, 1923. One of 500 copies printed on Vélin. Alfred de Vigny's (1797-1863) poem on the fate of the frigate "La Sérieuse" which was sunk in 1798 near Aboukir by Admiral Nelson, with the fine illustrations by Pierre Falké. - Small tear in last leaf expertly repaired, otherwise fine. - Monod 11212.
