Laid in is an Autograph Letter Signed by Esther Meynell and on her Ditchling headed writing paper, dated Ash Wednesday: about 150 words to a Mr Townsend mainly discussing church matters and mentioning 'my husband's ''Friendship'' '. Tipped onto the front free endpaper is a slip of paper also inscribed by Esther Meynell: ''Broadmeadow. Ditchling. With every good wish from Gerald & Esther Meynell. (My husband's printing!)''. The book is indeed printed by Meynell's Westminster Press.Head and tail of spine and corners a bit bumped. Covers slightly marked. Good.
