[Twickenham]: Printed at Strawberry-Hill [Strawberry Hill Press], 1758 219 pages. In a contemporary leather binding that has been restored. Bookplate on front paste-down of Thomas Francis Bayard -- a U.S. Senator, Secretary of State under President Cleveland, and Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Previous owner's inscription to front free endpaper, which is a little chipped around the edges, indicates the book was bought from the sale of Edward D. Ingram's library in Philadelphia in 1855. The textblock in general is browned but supple. A collection of miscellaeous pieces by Horace Walpole, published anonymously by his Strawberry Hill Press. A scarce book. Size: 8vo. Illus. by Vignette on title page. First Edition.. Leather. Very Good.
