About This Item

Texas: Wildflower USA, 1997. 1st Edition 2nd Printing. Hardcover. New/As New. Stacey McCarthy color illustrations. CONDITION: NEW 1997 Wildflower USA hardcover (pictorial boards) & dust jacket (in mylar cover), first edition, second printing. The dust jacket shows some shelf wear top spine - not too bad, but there making the jacket As New. The end pages are decorated with a map of Furello's travels. Color illustrations by Stacey McCarthy. CONTENT: Furello, a young unicorn, teams up with Kelton, an elk who is also the captain of three ships, to find the answer to the question, "What is the most important thing in the world?" On their way, they travel through the Kingdom of Fittle and visit the Island of Ekberg. When not coping with the elements, the two companions must deal with a variety of strange and often difficult challenges and characters such as Mr. Fobknot and Ms. Sneazel Weasel. The friends finally return to Furello's valley and discover that they have succeeded in their quest when it is revealed to Furello that he has been doing "the most important thing in the world because he has been searching to learn the Truth." One reviewer offered this important attribute: "Furello is a magical book for all ages. Young children enjoy the storyline while older children will see the symbolism and the philosophical teaching in the story. That is what makes Furello an exceptional book as well as the fact that there is no violence in the book." - Cindy
