Synopsis
John Peter Berger is an English art critic, novelist, painter and author. His unsettling and powerful novel, G , won the Man Booker prize in 1972. The setting is before the First World War in Europe. The protagonist, G., is the rich son of an Italian canned fruit retailer who is a wild Casanova-type lover of women. He gradually comes to a realization after many misadventures.
