An apparently unread, fine copy, in a fine looking unused dw that has been expertly tape-repaired to rear panel, housed in red, crushed morocco leatehr box with raised bands, gilt title and author. Leather spine darkened. With a ANS addressed by Erskine laid-in to William Brown Meloney (1878-1925), journalist, writer, executive secretary to Mayor William Jay Gaynor of New York City and a historian of shipping.
