Paris: Robin & Lamy, 1836. Published from 1836 to 1839 in parts. Each part consisted of two plates, each with one leaf of text separated by tissue guard. First 29 parts ONLY, of 62 parts. Lacking plate number 40, leaving a total of 57 plates and corresponding text. Of the plates present, the first 18 are after Eduard Travies with the remainder after Thiolat. 19th century binding is moderately worn and top cover is detached. End leaves are brittle, worn, and chipped. Scattered foxing affecting some plates. Most plates show some age toning. Images are generally bright and crisp. . First Edition. Half Leather. Fair/No Dust Jacket. sm 4to.
