A Roosevelt family copy. Besides the author's signature on the half title this copy is inscribed on a front free fly leaf. "To Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt, with gratitude, love and blessing from her friend, David Gray, Cumberland Foreside, Portland Maine, Xmas, 1931". Also signed by Sarah Alden (Derby) Gannett, President Theodore Roosevelt's daughter, on the front paste-down.
