Octavo; pp. 324 with index; Illustrated, frontispiece portrait and plates; chocolate brown cloth, gilt, patterned blue endpapers; Bruns R-104; Very good, minor edge wear, previous owner's name on a preliminary. Robert B. Roosevelt was on the New York State Fishery Commission. He was also the uncle of Theodore Roosevelt. They lived in identical houses built side by side on E. 20th St. in New York. Robert was an early conservationist and wrote several books on field sports. His influence on the young TR can not be over emphasized given TR's commitment to conservation as a sportsman, reformer and President. Salmon, Trout and some coarse fish too.
