Macmillan & Co, 1902. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1902. Reprinted, 10th thousand. 168 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine. Includes illustrations. Pages have deckled edges. Publisher's adverts to rear. Pages have some foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Front endpaper has been removed. Hinges are intensely cracked with exposed netting, and feeling very loose. Foxing more intense towards the start and end of the book. Pencil inscriptions to pre title page. Text block edges are very uneven. Boards have some edge wear, with slight bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed and torn. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Slight water staining to front. Spine is noticeably sunned. Book has a heavy forward lean. Gilt is dulled and worn.
