FIRST EDITION 1767. Small 8vo, approximately 175 x 100 mm, 7 x 4 inches, 1 folding plate of A Chinese PALACE for BEES, and 1 small woodcut, pages: [10], 1-139, [7]; [2], 1-112, bound in modern quarter leather over marbled boards, gilt lettering to spine, new endpapers. Pale browning to title page, old ink name to top of same, shallow diagonal crease to top corner, small repair to outer margin of folding plate on blank side, not affecting image, pale browning and staining throughout, mostly affecting margins, a good copy. The Bee section is by The Rev. Mr Thorley: DIRECTION FOR KEEPING BEES, 28 pages, with an explanation of the folding plate, pages mostly affected by pale browning, otherwise a good copy.
