Published By the Author Book. Very Good. Hardcover. 12mo (11 x 17cm). 38 pages. Original paper covered boards with gilt lettering to the front board, very good with a little general wear and rubbing. Contents clean and tight, pencil inscription - see history below, otherwise unmarked. A very good copy. A very rare little book - privately published, including Childhood's Gardens, A Rock Garden, Notes in my Garden, and The Canary Islands. History: "The authoress was the (eldest?) daughter of Mr. & Mrs.Henshaw Russell of the Priory, Surbition Hill opposite St. Mark's Church (now pulled down & a block of flats built on site. They were friends of our grand parents & parents for many years. 2 other sisters wer artists. L. H. Shebbeare.".
