About This Item
London: Country Life, Ltd, 1919. Cloth. Very Good +/Very Good -. The 1919 2nd and enlarged edition. Clean and VG+ in its deep-red over russet cloth, with bright gilt-insignia and titling along the front panel and spine respectively. Very light bowing to the front board, mild bumping at the lower tips, a bit of light creasing along a number of the page edges. Elephant folio, internally very clean, with no writing or markings to speak of. THIS COPY INCLUDES A BRIGHT EXAMPLE OF ITS UNCOMMON PICTORIAL DUSTJACKET. The jacket shows chipping and creasing along its edges, and 2" of loss at the spine crown (affecting the titling). Still though, the jacket has protected the book very well and makes for an unusual, significant addition.
