Saco, Maine: Garland Manufacturing Company, 1917. Hardcover. Good +. Business catalogue (& historical document) of the Maine-based, manufacturing company that served the textile industry. The product line included loom pickers & reeds, lug staps, picker leather & sticks and rawhide for mechanical purposes. This 5th catalogue (edition) replaced the 1905 4th edition. Blue cloth with gilt lettering on spine and front. Established in 1866 by James G. Garland, incorporated in 1873 - t was originally called the Loom Picker Company, after its primary product, pickers for the textile industry. Tthe company today manufactures plastic profiles, custom machined parts, and a product line of mallets and soft faced hammers. 153 pages with index and extensive B&W illustrations of product lines. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Navy blue cloth boards have minor rubbing & some staining, several small scuffs to spine and water stain at vertical page ends. Still a decent looking copy (& sophisticated sales catalog) from more than 100 years ago.
