UK: Longmans, 1910. First Edition . Three-Quarter Leather. Good ++. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 1st Edition 1910. Longmans, Green & Co, 12 plates, bookplates of the Earl of Cromer and John Ellison to front pastedowns, half calf gilt by Bickers & Son. Evelyn Baring, 1st Earl of Cromer, 1841-1917 was a British statesman, diplomat and colonial administrator. He served as the British controller-general in Egypt during 1879, part of the international control which oversaw Egyptian finances after the Egyptian bankruptcy of 1876. Books are good++ and quite bright. Light surface rubbing to leather and edges. Spine and edges slightly lightened in places. Minuscule loss to spine tips and light superficial cracking to some parts of the hinges. Light foxing to page edges. More images can be taken upon request.Ref17595
