Spine faded, light dampstaining at bottom of covers, else G. The title is a perfect example of how the meaning of words can change over time. Field, (1850-1890), expelled from three colleges because of his pranks, turned to journalism, writing a daily column for the Chicago Daily News. But he is best remembered for his many popular and sentimental poems for children, including LITTLE BOY BLUE, 1889..
