About This Item

London: The General Electric Co. Ltd., 1957. Hardcover. GOOD PLUS. REPRINT. BRITISH. "The object of this cookery book is to assist the housewife to obtain the best results from her G.E.C. electric cooker; it is more than just a collection of recipes." Before the recipes there are diagrams for Parts of the Cooker, instructions on Cleaning the Cooker, Operating the Cooker, and Handy Measures, also a comparison of British versus American measurements. 102 pp with index. Light tanning to endpapers, rubbing to board edges, lower corners lightly bumped, upper corners moreso. A very small amount of soiling and scuffing to boards, a few dog-earred pages. Previous owner made a note on the back cover. A fabulous sewn-in bookmark, many wonderful photographs, a full color illustration to centerfold. Great standard recipes. Quite clean for being a cookbook. Solid binding.
