Munchen: Verlag Gesellachaft fur. VG++ book, in rare DJ, in GOOD slipcase. 12"x9",384pp.. 1908. 1st edition.. Hardcover. VG++ book, FINE DJ, in GOOD slipcase. Flawless book BUT: covers lightly foxed, FINE otherwise. DJs from this era very unusual. . Cream color boards with green lettering & decorations. Spine, both boards & text block fore edge lightly foxed. FLAWLESS inside. Text block top edge a bright green as glossy as any top edge in gilt. Book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine. Six full page plates & 353 in text. Google translate puts the title ihus: "Memorial Book Society of Christian Art". This book intended use as a day by day diary. There is a separate page for each day of the year, including Feb 29th. 1908 was a leap year. Each page topped by 2 or 3 Scripture verses and an appropiate in text illustration from artists of or about the medieval period. Each pages lower half blank and ruled for the owner's entries, which in this book, are none. DJ, of a very heavy stock, totally blank. Any DJ of this date very unusual. Slipcase edges & corners scuffed. Slipcase's title label with slightly different wording than the title page. .
