Folio (16.5" x 11"), green cloth spine and green paste-paper over boards, peach morocco corners, gilt laurel ornaments and with inlaid peach morocco at upper cover, matching gilt and morocco title piece at spine, gilt ornament to lower cover; green paste-paper endpapers with matching gilt designs. 2 blank leaves; Title leaf, [32] pp., 15 color woodcuts. Colophon with pomegranate printed in red and pencil signatures of author and illustrator. In original tan cloth traycase with green paste-paper edges and gilt peach morocco title piece at spine. CONDITION: Fine throughout. One of fifty numbered copies, signed by Hecht and Baskin. This is number 49. All the woodcuts are signed and numbered by Baskin. One of the more splendid productions of the Gehenna Press, with each of Hecht's poems accompanied by a color woodcut of a flower.
