Very good dark green boards with gilt lettering to spine, a little scuffing to top of spine, dust jacket showing signs of use, internally repaired with cellotape at the top of the spine, tear at bottom of front cover, illustration in dual tones of red and black shows boys throwing snowballs at a school master, not price clipped, no inscriptions, each issue individually paginated, facsimile comics with contemporary advertisements. Front covers in dual tones of red and black other illustrations in black and white. Generally a very good copy.11.00 x 7.00 inches approx. Appealing school stories and humor that will bring back memories for many people. Nostalgic and fun. Martin Clifford is an alias used by the writer of the Billie Bunter stories, Frank Richards whose real name was Charles Hamilton. He also wrote under the name of Owen Conquest. .
