These beautifully-preserved copies have been rebound in sturdy brown cloth and the bindings look new, the contents are in excellent condition, text and illustrations are clean and free of foxing, we have examined both copies page-by-page and there are only a few minor flaws to report: Volume 1 - the tissue guard at page 275 has two vertical creases, the illustration following page 362 has a one-inch edge-tear which is in the margin does not affect the portrait at all. Volume 2: The tissue guard at page 74 has a short tear. The gold gilt on the edges of both volumes is mildly rubbed but overall is bright and attractive. Overall an outstanding and quite scarce regional genealogical history in outstanding condition .
