Minor shelf/edge wear to blue cloth boards with gilt spine titles - tiny bump to one corner. Minor shelf/edge wear, one small closed tear and minor age-toning to unclipped original DJ - now in mylar. NOTE: This DJ is in the original color which is creme with the authors name in black and book title in red with orange shadows. No previous owner markings - all pages are clean and unmarked. Author's third book, (a collection of short stories) published after two Flashman novels. George MacDonald Fraser OBE FRSL (2 April 1925 – 2 January 2008) was a Scottish author and screenwriter. He is best known for a series of works that featured the character Flashman. The "Dand MacNeill" or "McAuslan" stories in this book are a series of semi-autobiographical short stories based on the author's experiences in the Gordon Highlanders, in North Africa and Scotland, soon after World War II.
