Rare account of several Civil War Courts Martials (all accused being found guilty), generally for Deesertion, with one case of murder of a superior officer. Accused included Patrick Berrian of the 16th Massachusetts Volunteers; Robert Bartmann, 1st New Jersey Volunteers; Edward Brandingham, 6th US Cavalry; Andrew Bans, 82nd Illinois Volunteers; William H.N. Annis, 3rd Vermont Volunteers.
