NY: Doubleday & McClure, 1899. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. First edition, first issue of the author's first book. Very good+ with no dust jacket. The spine is just slightly leaned; gift inscription fron Christmas 1899 on front endpaper. The ear of corn on the spine is pointing down, the cloth is a lighter green than later issue copies, and all four textual issue points are present. A relatively nice copy, with very little wear to the cloth.
