A guide to gentlewoman standards of behaviour at all occasions, from child to weddings, dinners, and musical parties, as well as notes on society and its amusements, dress code, country-house life, and "the gentle art of flirtation." Written by Violet, Lady Greville, British aristocrat and writer. The first edition of this work, a scarce volume. In the original publisher's full cloth binding with decorative gilt to back strip and boards. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, light bumping to head and tail of spine and extremities, minor faint damp marks to boards. Peter Stewart Young Tillingham's bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good
