Deaccessioned from the library of Imperial Oil Ltd, Calgary Alberta, with their neat ink handstamps to title page, ffep and table of contents. Library pocket neatly removed from front pastedown. A clean copy, sturdily-bound, with over 100 plates, many folding, of geological formations and fossils. A few of the folding plates have small closed tears, not affecting the images. Very good condition. An interesting publication investigating the presence of coal-bearing formations in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and New Mexico. The majority of the plates are dedicated to fossils of plants, with the remaining plates depicting geological formations. An interesting association coming from the library of an oil company in Calgary, Alberta. United States Geological Survey Professional Paper 101.
