About This Item

Melbourne: Geoffrey Cumberlege, Oxford University Press, 1952. Hardcover. xi, 171p., illustrated with charts and other facsimiles, and a few b&w photographs. First edition, hardbound in textured dark blue cloth boards spine-titled and enclosed in the dust jacket. Book itself is mildly edgeworn with two slightly turned corner-tips, some mottling of color to back cover, titling dim but legible, while the dj has a small ragged chip to top rim and other milder edgewear, and tape strengthenings to verso. Front free endpaper bears a couple of strokes of red ball-point (serving no purpose); item is sound, clean, and otherwise unmarked.
