New York: The Dial Pres, 1959. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Beautiful Book, 1959, stated First Edition, 12.5 inches in height by 9.25 inches in width, nice study of George Catlin and his amazing illustrations of Native Americans, wonderful collection of 131 black and white and 36 full color illustrations, 216 pages including index. Book is Fine, very clean rust cloth boards with bright gilt title to spine and gilt native American on front board, tight and square, No previous owner bookplate or writing. Jacket Very Good Plus, full color illustrations on both front and rear panels, corner and edge wear, rear panel has a rash of small splotch running from top to bottom in a 2 inch strip, still shows nicely in a new mylar sleeve. A very clean and most presentable First Edition. Folio - over 12 - 15" tall.
