New York: Harper & Brothers, 1885 366pp. Volume I of three only. Tips are heavily bumped and heavily rubbed. Spine ends are heavily chipped and fraying. Spine panel is heavily sunned, stained, and the gilt title is very dulled. Spine edge of rear board has a few stains. Spine edge of front board is heavily soiled. Boards have scuffs and scratches. Front hinge is cracked. Pages are toning along the edges. Page edges have light foxing. Former owner notations on second-to-last endpaper. Rear hinge is open. Spine is shaken. Some light marginalia and bracketing in pencil.. Library Edition. Hardcover. Poor/No Dust Jacket.
