About This Item
Random House, 1957. Hardcover. Excellent/Good Plus. 8x5x1. Lee Ames. Landmark Book Written By Famous Author Sterling North. Hardback Book with Dust Jacket in Very Good Plus condition. Inside text is in Excellent condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. Inside text appears to be unread and unused! No writing inside but there is a small "H" in a circle in a square stamp inside the back cover, and this is a minor Random House marking. Outside Cloth Covers are nice with the exception on the bottom of the outside spine which has a heavier bump, but no issue with the binding, etc. Dust Jacket is in Good Plus condition with some edge chipping primarily at the top and bottom of the outside spine with some small missing pieces in those areas, but the bottom piece is larger (3/4" x 1"). Dust Jacket is NOT price clipped (195/195) and is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Book has come from a private collection. This is a less common title and getting harder to find in this condition. Landmark Books and World Landmark Books are accurate, in-depth stories for young people in the 9-15 year old range. These living histories were written by award-winning authors or by men and women who experienced the events first hand. Written during the 1950's and 1960's and illustrated either with two-color drawings or clear photographs, the books are informative, enjoyable, and well worth reading and collecting.
