Signed twice by the author J.H Breytenbach, under His Photograph and on the Title page. 2nd Edition, 1978 - Volume No 1 only. There is a plate under the front board. Included on the last page of the book, placed in a pocket, is a Map of Suid-Afrika Tweede Vryheidsoorlog 1899-1902. Heavy book may require extra postage unless posted within South Africa. Publication of 508 pages. There is gilt on the spine of the book. Frontispiece. The boards are a little shelf rubbed. On the front end page the page is scarred.
