Marbled endpapers. Hors textes plates throughout text; sporadic image transfer to adjacent pages. Volume 1 contains approximately 65 engravings and the frontispiece; volume 2 contains approximately 50 engravings. Scenes depicted include: Niagara Falls, Capitol at Washington, View from Fort Putnam, Indian Falls - Near Cold-Spring, Catterskill Fall, Mount Tom and the Connecticut River. The United States Bank Philadelphia, and many others. Some sunning to spines and foxing throughout. Vol. 1: 128 pp.; Vol. 2: 96 pp. 9 x 11 inches.
