Illustrated endpapers showing the series' initials reproduced multiple times in a gold coloured ink. Burgundy coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles to the backstrip. Orange coloured tint to the top text block edge. Plain text dustwrapper with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Three of Henrik Ibsen's plays :  The Warriors at Helgeland,Ghosts and An Enemy of the People. Everyman's Library number 552. Softening and rubbing of the back strip edges with bumping of the book corners. The book has slightly become skewed. Age toning of the text block edges and pages. Original bookseller's rubber stamp to the lower edge of the free front end page with previous owner's name to the top edge of the same page. Pencil name of previous owner to the top edge of the half title page and there are some pencil underlining and notes to the play "And Enemy of the People". Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and top back strip edge. There is a piece missing from the lower edge of the back strip and to the top left hand corner of the front panel. Chips and creasing to the dustwrapper edges. Sunning to the back strip and to the rear panel. Browning of the verso. A previous owner had placed tape on all dustwrapper edges, tape is now gone but the residue remains. Fading of the back strip. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII - XII, [2], 3 247, [13  of which four is an essay by Ernest Rhys on the philosophy of Everyman's Library and eight pages of titles from the publishing house] pages,.
