Signed limited edition of Gideon's Torch by Charles Colson and Ellen Vaughn, inscribed to Attorney General John Ashcroft.. Large octavo, vii, [3], 553pp, [4]. Blue hardcover, title in gilt on navy blue cloth spine. No additional printings listed on copyright page. "Special Limited Edition" in silver across top edge of front cover. Solid text block, a few small stains along fore edge, light rubbing to spine and edges. In the publisher's dust jacket, light wear to edges of spine, shelf wear, a near fine example. Previous ownership inscription on front free endpaper, "John Ashcroft, U.S. Senate." Signed by the author on the half-title "John - this is why we need more men like You in High office / Charles Colson.
