Illustrated dustwrapper with bone coloured background and pink coloured decoration with black coloured titles to the front cover and spine. This is the story of colonial Australia in the 1880s-90s as seen by a girl 'in service'. Rubbing of the book corners and back strip corners. A white mark to the top right-hand corner of the front panel. Light age toning of the text block edges. Minor rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with significant fading of the back strip.
