Ventura, CA Phantom Bookshop 1998., 2011. A restored facsimile dust jacket for the first Macauley first edition second state for The Girl From Hollywood. This will the book with the coarse woven cloth with green-yellow lettering, but has type damage on the back of the title page and on line 6 of page seven. The ads on the rear panel of the dust jacket and publisher's address are different than in the first state jacket. The jacket was restored by artist John Anthony Miller and archival ink and special paper were used. Jacket comes trimmed and enclosed in a Mylar jacket protector, ready to put on the book. Please see the photograph. Edgar Rice Burroughs is still the greatest escapist-fantasy-romance-adventure author who ever lived. Many famous authors and celebrities signed there and was a top favorite bookshop of Ray Bradbury's. We specialize used and rare books, unusual material and signed books with an emphasis on the unique, sci fi and fantasy, first editions, scientific and medical. We also have a nice selection of high quality facsimile dust jackets done etching and engraving artist John Anthony Miller (all jackets are marked tastefully that they are facsimile jackets, printed on high quality non acidic paper using the finest inks that will last a lifetime with care). Phantom Bookshop relocated in 2000 as an internet business.
