Hardcover. 319p., a nice reprint designed for the collected works ("Danube Edition"), hardbound in openweave green cloth boards gilt & blind, and enclosed in the glossy dead-white "series" dust jacket lettered black. An excellent copy, perfectly sound, clean and unmarked. The novel of the Sparticus rebellion is Young 2170 The Danube edition. This "series" binding is green, possibly only one of several signature colors, is titled gilt on spine only, and bears an intaglio spiral in blind on the front cover, about two inches across (a Koestler symbol?). Per dust jacket text, "a historical novel of Spartacus and the Slave War against Rome, 73-71 B.C. It is Arthur Koestler's first novel..
