About This Item

New York: Condé Nast Publications, 1997. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Soft cover. As New. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Fine; As New. Absolutely pristine and flawless example. See scans and description. Box-shipped. New York: Condé Nast Publications, 1997. The May,1997 issue of Glamour Magazine. A thick, robust Quarto, photo-illustrated perfect-bound wraps, 298 pp. Completely As New and immaculate, cover to cover - to a degree that's extraordinarily hard to find in a periodical from 1997. See scans. No labels, and all tipped in or loose-laid cardstock offers remain inside. The scent of an advertised fragrance even still remains in this piece, as now sealed for storage; and - believe it or not - you can be the first to peel up the still-untouched corner of a Revlon lipstick ad sample, to test two of their shades...from 1997. See scan of that ad. Cover Girl Bridget Hall had her hair done by Mitch Barry, makeup by Bonnie Maller, and wears a Cool Wear halter, Vivienne Westwood pants, and an Elsa Peretti necklace. The rich 298 pages of fashion, celebrity, style, sex, health, relationship, and food journalism with very professional photography to match are best reviewed by taking a look at the contents page scans (which include 'How Men Learn to Make Love', btw...). But as always there are stunner shots of celebrities, especially beautiful women - such as Anika and Sydney Poitier, herein, and hardly limited to them. A collectible, squeaky-new example of an early issue of a topflight genre publication. Very scarce thus. Shipped in a sturdy, new, protective box - no baggin' it here. LPR9
