A comprehensive calendar of diocese events in Gloucester and Bristol in 1875. It includes a map of the sun and moon movements, information about the terms of Oxford and Cambridge university, certain statistics of churches around the world, information about churches within the British Empire, and information about courses and headmasters of universities around the country. Also included is information about the house of peers and house of commons, archdeanery of Gloucester and Bristol, information on the parishes in the area, 'An Act for the Better Administration of the Laws Respecting the Regulation of Public Worship', and adverts to the rear. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, rubbed. Tidemarks to the boards has caused slight discolouration. Front hinge is weak and front board may detach with further handling. Light offsetting to the pastedowns, to the recto of the front endpaper, and to the verso of the rear endpaper. Bookseller's label to the front pastedown, '...Stationer. Imperial Library, Cheltenham'. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with the odd spot throughout. Library stamp from the title page to page four, twenty-seven to thirty-two, and fifty-one to fifty-eight in part two, and from unpaginated page one to eight of 'Public Worship Regulation Act, 1874'.
