London: Archibald Constable & Co, 1907. Mary Johnston (1870 - 1936) American novelist and women's rights advocate from Virginia. She was one of America's best selling authors during her writing career and had three silent films adapted from her novels. This play is based on the French revolution with the themes are logic, reasoning, learning and the conscious mind. CONDITION Blue illus bds papered with a blue cloth spine, pp viii 235 with nice woodblock head and tail pieces. Mild wear to spine, cnrs buffed covers and eps a little toned. Original Book sellers label to rear pastedown partially removed.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
